Queenstown Hill is one of the most accessible and least demanding tracks right inside Queenstown. From the top of the hill you get views of the Remarkables range, Lake Wakatipu, Cecil Peak, and the town itself. It is a great option for a walk if you want good views but have neither the desire nor the energy for a big route.

GETTING THERE

The start of the Queenstown Hill trail is at the car park at the beginning of Belfast Street, by the junction with Kerry Drive. The point is easy to find in a sat-nav as Queenstown Hill Walking Track. The car park is small, but you can park along the road without trouble, just do not block the driveways to the houses.

Parking is free and with no time limit. Counting the roadside there are plenty of spaces. In all seasons I have always found somewhere to park without any problem. If you feel like it you can start the track from the town centre, but that adds another 100 metres of climbing.
